Planned Maintenance

What is it?

In short, it’s a guarantee. A planned maintenance program ensures that your automated equipment runs efficiently and is not subject to break down. Not having a planned maintenance contract will cost your company more than just frustration during a peak time; it will cost you valuable time and resources, which could have been prevented through a planned maintenance program. By engaging our Field Services team, you are free to focus on getting a job out on time while AHS handles your machinery.

How does it work?

Our Field Services professionals perform service and maintenance on all powered conveyors, powered belt conveyors, accumulating or live roll conveyors, and gravity type conveyors. AHS recommends you service your automated equipment every 1,000 hours of run time.

Steps in our maintenance program include:

  • Inspect all drives
  • Oil all roller chain drives
  • Adjust and tighten all guard rails
  • Lubricate all bearings with alemite fittings
  • Check conveyor height and level if required
  • Check oil level in gear reducers and check for leaks
  • Check belt tracking and adjust if necessary
  • Check and lubricate all pillow block bearings
  • Check tension and wear on v-belts
  • Check pneumatic system for leaks and proper air pressure
