Situation

Forecasted sales were exceeding the outbound capacity of the current facility.

Finish Line needed to implement the solution using as much of the existing equipment as possible and without interrupting store shipments.

Solution

AHS's Design team met with Finish Line's Executive Group to discuss and finalize their five-year business plan specific to store growth.
AHS designed a system to support five-year growth from 500 to 800 stores.

Managed the construction of the new addition, the implementation of the materials handling equipment solution, and the interface of the conveyor control system with the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Result

The system was installed on time and within budget.

Within the first six weeks of production, the system was able to process 155% of year five projections.

100% of the previously installed equipment was reused within the new design.
